Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 7, 2026
salas.works ("we," "us") helps local businesses with an AI phone receptionist, a website, and related services. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and your choices. By using this website or our services, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
From website visitors
- Booking & questionnaire forms: the name, email, phone, business, and notes you submit.
- Website chat: the messages you send to our assistant, used to answer you and book a call.
- Basic technical data: standard server/log information (e.g., IP address, browser) from our hosting provider for security and reliability.
From the AI phone receptionist (for our business clients)
- When we operate an AI receptionist for a business, we process call information (such as time, duration, and outcome). If call recording or transcription is enabled, call content may be processed to book jobs and capture leads.
- For that data, the business client is the owner of their customers' information; we act as their service provider. Each client's dashboard data is kept separate, and by default we store only non-personal statistics (counts, durations, outcomes).
2. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and book your free call.
- To provide and operate the services we're hired for (receptionist, website, reporting).
- To maintain security and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers we use
We rely on reputable third parties to run the service. Each processes data under their own terms:
- Netlify — website hosting and form handling.
- Anthropic — the website chat assistant (AI).
- ElevenLabs — AI voice for the phone receptionist.
- Cal.com — booking/scheduling.
- Google (Sheets, Looker Studio, Fonts) — dashboards and reporting.
- Twilio / Resend — text and email notifications (where enabled).
4. Call recording & consent
Where an AI receptionist records or transcribes calls, applicable laws (including California's all-party consent rules) may require that callers be informed. Our business clients are responsible for enabling the appropriate notice/consent for their calls; we help configure it. If you called a business using our service and have questions, contact that business.
5. Cookies
The website uses minimal cookies. Embedded tools (e.g., the Cal.com booking widget) may set their own cookies to function. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it. Client dashboard data is retained per our agreement with each client.
7. Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live (including California/CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email alex@salas.works and we'll respond as required by law. If your data was collected by a business using our receptionist, please also contact that business (the data owner).
8. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted here.
